My design approach
Deep complexity is my idea of fun.
I’m drawn to high-context problems where the systems are layered and the impact is real. I surface what’s hidden, connect what’s scattered, and design ways to make it all make sense—for real people trying to navigate it.
I'm relentless in pursuit of insight.
When something’s unclear, I dig. I learn the tools, trace the data, and ask better questions. A peer once told me, “Nothing stops you from understanding your users, Nancy. I love that about you.” Every decision I make is grounded in something real.
The collective experience matters to me.
I use design thinking to help teams reframe challenges, see connections, and solve the right problems together. I plan and facilitate workshops that turn scattered insight into shared clarity.
I lead by doing.
I’m a starter. I create processes, tools, and solutions—and I share them. I think of what’s needed, and then I make it. That’s how I lead: by making useful things, moving work forward, and showing others what’s possible through action.
